Who we are & scope
PRISM ("we", "us") provides a desktop voice-conversion app and the account and billing services that support it. This policy covers our website and the PRISM desktop app, and should be read together with our Terms of Service.
Information we collect
Account information
Your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store passwords in plain text.
Payment information
Subscriptions are handled by a PCI-compliant payment provider. Card details are entered directly into the provider's secure checkout, so we never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of your transactions (plan, amount, currency, status, and dates) and your subscription state.
Device & security information
To bind licenses to devices and to prevent fraud and free-trial abuse, we collect a device identifier and technical signals associated with your use of the service. These are used only for security and fraud prevention.
Technical & usage information
Basic technical data needed to run the service: app version, timestamps, license activation and validation events, and error diagnostics.
Communications
Transactional emails we send (verification codes, password-reset codes, billing notices) and any support messages you send us.
What we do not collect
All voice conversion runs locally on your device's hardware. We do not record, upload, transmit, or store the audio you speak or the audio PRISM produces. It never reaches our servers.
We also do not sell your personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles from your data.
How we use your information
- Create and secure your account, and authenticate you.
- Provide licenses, activate them on your devices, and keep the app working offline within its grace period.
- Process payments, manage subscriptions and renewals, and send billing notices.
- Send transactional email (email verification and password resets).
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, trial abuse, and violations of our Terms.
- Provide support, fix problems, and improve reliability and security.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases
Where data-protection law (such as Nigeria's NDPA/NDPR or the EU/UK GDPR) applies, we process personal data on these bases: performance of a contract (to provide the service you sign up for), legitimate interests (securing the service and preventing fraud), consent (where required, e.g. certain communications), and legal obligation.
Output watermarking
Audio produced by PRISM contains an inaudible, automatic watermark (see our Terms). The watermark is embedded in the audio itself; it is designed to identify content as PRISM-generated and, where necessary and lawful, to help associate misused output with the account that produced it, for fraud prevention and safety.
Data retention
We keep account, license, and transaction records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, security, and fraud-prevention needs. Security and anti-abuse signals are retained only as long as necessary for those purposes. You can ask us to delete your account (see Your rights).
Security
We protect your data with measures appropriate to its sensitivity: passwords are stored only in a securely hashed form, all traffic is encrypted in transit, licenses are cryptographically protected, and payments are handled entirely by a PCI-compliant payment provider. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we collect in the first place.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise most of these directly (for example, resetting your password on the account page) or by contacting us. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If you are in Nigeria, you may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Cookies & local storage
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. When you sign in, we store a small amount of data in your browser so you stay signed in; you can clear it at any time by signing out or clearing your browser data. The desktop app stores your license on your device so it can work offline.
Children
PRISM is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to use the service, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
International transfers
Our servers and email delivery are hosted in the United States. If you access PRISM from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed there. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by email or in the app. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
